UCL comes to Maison Clergeau

Six UCL (University College London) students came to spend 4 days in Maison Clergeau to celebrate New Year 2011-2012. They were keen to visit the local fripe, a second hand clothes warehouse, where they stocked up on 1980s fashion and then filmed themselves in rightous fashion parade at home with wine and local goats cheese for sustenance. They spent New Year itself eating oysters with champagne, cooked by a wonderful Iranian Parisian with an eye for french food at its best with spicy additions.
Perhaps New Year’s day passed them by, but by the evening they were back on form, exploring Blois chateau, cathedral, the wildlife on the Loire River and back home for more local wine tastings….a fitting final evening before the long drive back to London.
UCL, come again! Maison Clergeau loved having you!
